Page file from RAM?

Hi all,

Does anyone know if it is possible to have the page file running from RAM? I have 16GB of RAM and was curious to know if this is possible? I have an SSD so that's where I am coming from

You're missing the point.

A page file is used as virtual RAM so you're asking to run virtual RAM in RAM :confused:

If you have enough RAM then the system shouldn't use the page file.

If you think you have enough RAM to run everything you can turn the page file off.

I used a program called super speed ram disk to map a bit more than 2gb of ram(2100mb) when I had 6 gb, and then placed the (2 gb) page file in the ram disk. It felt a bit snappier in windows, but as surveyor said hard to imagine you would see a benefit.

Ok, thanks for the replies. Will leave the page file turned off. 16GB should be more than enough
