page file

Technically it is enough, but many applications rely on it so the usual answer is do not turn it off. More trouble than its worth from what I've heard.
 
No, pagefile is essential and turning it off or reducing the size actually makes your system slower.

It needs to be at least the same size as the memory.

the thing that annoys me, as i have 2gig of ram, and windows STILL uses page file.... you will have 1.2gig of memory useage, then it starts going to page file.... leaving 0.8gig free..... ALL THE TIME! :confused:

Windows will always use the pagefile, I remember seeing a Windows infopage on the subject, I'll go look for it.
