Even when there's plenty of ram free windows will still use the pagefile and will end up crashing if it's disabled.

I would not touch it if you have no problems at the moment, eg out of memory errors.

The software for the Samsung Evo/Pro SSDs recommands a page file of 200-2000mb if you have more than 4gb ram. Not sure if it will be the same for others but I don't see why not.

There is no one size fits all amount of pagefile that will be perfect for everyone. It completely depends on what hardware you have and how you use it. Just because you have 192GB of RAM does not necessarily mean you don't need a pagefile.
