I have a number of documents with a title page that don't need page numbers, and I recently learnt the technique for starting at 'page 0' so that on page 2, it will say 'page 1'.

Though I note that I have 'Page # of #' in the footer, and the final number sums all pages including page 0, so thus the final page states one more than the actual number.

I will be putting together the my dissertation in the forethcoming months too which requires sections putting in, which for some reason has me a little bit stumped for the first time.

I've googled but was wondering if any OcUKer had a defined answer or guide, really appreciate any responses.

It is just a case of getting your section breaks right and making sure that each break is not linked to the previous section. It can be a right pain in the bum but play around with it and you'll soon get the hang of it.

Yeh thought so.

How can I rectify my last page being page 6 of 7 when there is no 7? (first page = 0 - or is that my problem?)

Or shall I just stop putting Page X of Y and just put Page X? :p
