I wasn't sure wether to post it at monitors or graphic cards, so did it here.

I'm having some really annoying tearing issues (page tearing, screen tearing) , I can fix it at games by putting vsync on or forcing it with D3DOverrider but there are two things really annoying me.

Vsync doesn't work in windowed mode (@ WoW, TF2), I do get capped at 60 fps but there is tearing, having vsync ON in windowed mode sometimes even makes the tearing worse... This is really annoying, since I need windowed mode to watch movies while playing (always on top stuff).

I can't get vsync to work in CCC, so I get tearing when watching movies, D3Doverrider also doesn't fix that... I do notice that the tearing is worse on my 32 inch tv with a hdmi cable then on my 20 inch with a dvi cable...

Anyone knows how to fix this? I've been googling for months know and it's really annoying the hell out of me D: Speccs:

Hd4870 512 mb OC
E8400 @ 3.4 ghz
Msi P35 Neo-f
4 gb ram
620 volt electricity supply (so that isn't the problem).

My temperatures are fine, Hd4870 gpu is ~35 degrees on idle and my processor 31 degrees idle... And that are the temps when watching movies to.

Thanks.

Edit: Also got the newest drivers with a CLEAN install and also tryed 8.11 a while ago but I vaguely remember that also doesn't work.

Hmm i asked a while back if there was a way to force on V sync in normal windows, i don't think i got an answer, if running in windowed mode it will use windows settings which will mean tearing, i also tired forceing V sync on direct draw but no differance, sorry all i can offer is bad news......

If you do find a way, please post it up in your thread

Okay,

nice anyway to know it's not something wrong in my videocard :) Already was able to fix the tearing when watching movies, had to delete something that I used to be able to play HD on some program, and reinstall all mediaplayers.

Gonna wait if there's any fix for the windowed mode problem :)
