When using lists in pages does anyone know how to go back from an indent? I'm not sure how to explain so I'll show it.

say I'm writing a list:

I.
II.
III.

then I press tab to indent and get

III.
A.
1. etc

but how do I then go back to the 2nd or first columns e.g.

III.
A.
IV.

is it just a case of using delete to get to the right position and then actually typing IV. or is there shortcut way to do this?

Thanks
Felix

*edit* seems to have lost the spacing I've used in the actual post view but hopefully it's clear enough what I mean.

Are you pressing tab AFTER the bullet point? i.e.

1.[TAB]Word

or

[TAB]1. Word

When pages is being a pain with formatted lists I get rid of the formatting and just write them down:

First element
Second element
Third element

Then when it's all down highlight the lot then hit the bullets icon, putting the formatting in last.

I don't know if this will help because I'm not sure what you mean nor what you are trying to do but it was worth a shot.
