Paging a large varchar field in ASP.Net?

Hi all - I'm currently creating my own blogging and cms system in asp.net / C# / SQL.

I've come up against a problem - some articles I will write might be quite long so I'd like to be able to set up paging for these large text portions so we've got next, prvious and page numbers.

What's the best way to go about it? I can't see any tools for this in VS2008 and my google searches haven't come up with anything

maybe do a character count and divide the amount by x and page based on that ? either on entry or dragging it from the db

Objectdatasource combined with a formview control are probably best.

Use the objectdatasource to mask the true nature of the text making it appear as mutliple records each n characters long.

The Objectdatasource is good in this respect in that it can handle paging out of the box.
