Paint Codes...

All I have for a car is the number plate.

Is it possible to obtain the paint code.

I have found someone selling a white bonnet on ebay but don't know how good a match it will be.

They dont have the VIN as the car has been scrapped but did keep the bonnet.

Any ideas?

If its just a bog standard white colour, the paint code will be the same as any other white for that model. An exact match for the same paint code is not always possible, as there can be several different shades of the same code.

There are 3 different whites.

Dover White
White Diamond
Old English White

They actually vary quite a fair bit (got my mate to check them on his colour cards)

My car is White Diamond and any White Diamond bonnet will match good enough for me. But if I stuck a Dover or Old English white bonnet on it would look stupid.
