does anyone know of a program where i can select 2 or more different colours and find out the final colour that would be obtained when they are mixed in various proportions.

price doesn't matter.

cheers

cheers, i saw that one and thought it looks a bit amateur (and you have to send the money first and email for the key - dodgy).
i thought there might be an image editing program that does this??

whats this for if you dont mind me asking? are you using pantones

maybe something like the colourlovers software or different color could do what your wanting?

it would actually be for a real world application - adding dyes to coloured substrates. i would like something that is able to give be a ballpark idea of what colours would be obtained if i applied a colour to different coloured substrates.

either of the 2 above would suit your needs, although then you get into the realms of matching your quantities to get the desired colour etc does your dye supplier not offer anything usable?

not really - thats the sort of advanced stuff that uses reflectance spectrophotometry together with more advanced colour matching software.
what i am really looking for is something simple for other people to use that would give a visual indication for how additive mixing of dyes/paints works - for non experts - so i can give them a formulation and they can have a quick play to see how it looks if they use it on different coloured substrates.
the different color one looks 'ok' but i thought there would be a more professional one available?
