Hey all, I'm currently using Paint Shop Pro 8 but it's a bit of a nuisance as every 60 days I've to do a re-install (Trial version). I've tried buying a license for it but he program is so old I can't get my hands on one so instead I'm looking for a replacement.

Now, I don't do heavy graphic design or anything but whenever someone who knows me needs a business card or whatever I'm normally the person they come to and in the past I've found Paint Shop to be very handy when it comes to manipulating pictures. That means I'm looking for something with similar capabilities to Paint Shop Pro 8 while at an affordable price, ie as cheap as possible and I was wondering if anyone could make a few recommendations.

Thanks in advance,
Antar Bolaeisk.

You may pick up a cheap version of version 9 via Ebay. I have 9 and haven't gone over to Corel. Sorry but Corel Draw brings back bad memories and will never deal with them again. They have overpriced what was the premiere web publication imaging software about and will not subscribe to it. Photoshop Elements is as good as any at present. That will handle Jpeg, Jif,JFIF etc. and has many crop and design features that Paint shop doesn't.
If you are using Vista or XP then go for that but you will have to download a patch for that. Not only that, register your product on the Adobe website and you will never lose your Product codes again. Just Logon and copy & paste them into a text file and then use CTRL+V to paste the serial no. into the reinstall. I have been doing that since Photoshop 7 with no problem.
