Far far away....
I took my Nikon D50 out in earnest this Sunday to a local paintball even.

I only have the kit lense so it was a little hairy trying to get some good close ups!

I took about 200 pictures and of them about 1/3 were useable. One thing I noticed which i think is good is what was wrong with the pictures one I got home, a stray head etc in the shot.

I found it quite tough taking some of the pictures, one minute I was in a open field and then for other shots I was in woodland.

Attached is one of what I consider to be the better images.

You are clearly insane.

That's not really somewhere i'd take my camera!

Use filters! :D That's from a painball photographer on the PoTN forum.

The photo is nice, the huge watermark makes it abit hard to see the players though.

As for the guy matt mentioned his pictures are excellent, I really advice checking out his site and posts on POTN if you want to learn about PB photography.

Actually, the EOS1 would probably be ok since it is weather proof. But i wouldn't take any other camera there ! And for once, i would put 2 filters on!

That's quite a nice shot at 55mm, getting in closer would have given it more impact but like the others have said, no way I'd go in there with my camera. 10/10 for bravery ;)

There are about 100 images in total, some closer than that, i think I did more running get in place to take a shot and back out of the way again!

I'm just going to start doing this too, been invited by a pro team to tag along with them, looks a right laugh, i'm seriously thinking of getting a sigma 70-200 f2.8 for this, as for my kit i don't really care, it's only a tool and replaceable, and it's covered under my home contents insurance :D yours should be too.

I've also been in contact recently with Gary (that's his 1D in the shots above) from paintballphotography.com, sound bloke who really knows his stuff, like has been said before with regards to info POTN is the place to go :)

I can't see the OP's pic for some reason
