painting cases

Just wondering what paint do people use.

Would a auto based 2k paint be ok ?

I will be painting mine this weekend and i will be using the following:

Plastikote Super Enamel Primer.
Plastikote Super Enamel Satin Black.
Plastikote Super Enamel Satin Clear Coat.

Any paint should be ok as long as its quality, just make sure you stay with the same brand throughout.

Although if its the whole chassis your doing, you could possibly think about power coating? Better finish, stronger, etc.

+1 for powdercoating, much better finish than anything I've done with a spraycan. The company I used for my antec 900 said they had done quite a few cases.

I may even try my hand at some airbrushing on my case, ive always wanted to but on cars its far to corny.

yes get an airbrush, the quality of finish is excellent, way better than a spray can.

Plastikote enamel spray works okay; just be sure to be patient, follow the instructions, and don't recoat outside of the times stated on the can.

1 can of the bbq spray and a final coat of matt super just to keep it together.
