Painting Matte Gunmetal

I'm looking to give the inside of my case a matte gunmetal finish similar to the one in the photo. How do you suggest I go about achieving this short of professional spraying? The Gunmetal aerosols you buy at Halfords would just come out glossy/ satin right? Could someone who has had experience with paint just give me some advice so I can get my project moving?

Halfords do sell Matte paint and probably in Grey, have a look on their site/go in store and see if they stock it.

If you want a matt finish just use matt lacquer for the final coats.

Modding a case is much more of an accomplishment

And its no longer stock, Made by X, modded by Y
