Painting over Breeze Blocks.

Hi folks,

Just wondering whats the best way of painting over breeze blocks is. Do I need to put any type of undercoat or can I just paint the masonry paint straight on.

I have same question about an old brick wall too. Ive seen some barrier coating mentioned. My old man said you can coat it in pva prior to painting.

Any advice greatfully recieved.

Its a wall ive had put up on one side of the garden. New blocks, and they are quite smooth.
