Painting Over Suede Paint

We've got 2 walls painted with a suede effect paint that has a rough texture but now we'd like to paint over it. It's not as rough as artexing so I'm looking for something I can paint over it to smooth it out before painting again. Ideally it will be something I can apply with a brush rather than a scraper. I don't really want to sand it down either as it'll be a pain and seriously eat into my daily gaming time! Anyone point me in the right direction as to what I can use on it?

I had similar
A rough type paint surface, caused by a cheap roller

I found using a semi heavily loaded microfibre roller filled in a lot, Each coat getting closer to smooth.
If i was after really smooth walls I would do a coat, very quick sand all over, another couple of coats.

Suspect your better off doing the first couple of coats with cheapish paint and getting as close to smooth as you can before you go with more expensive paint.

I'd say sanding it would be your best bet. I can't imagine trying to build up the paint to the same level as the grains in the suede effect paint will be a quick and easy fix. Get yourself a sanding pole and you'll get it smoothed off easy enough

Sand it. Cheap random orbit sander with rough sand paper will have it sorted in a couple of hours and ready to paint.

Edit: I should say that's exactly how I dealt with it in my own house, it has the added bonus that it takes out all the imperfections at the same time.

I'd get a sanding pole and some mesh sandpaper. You'll have the whole room prepped far quicker than trying to fill it and you should be giving the walls a sand before painting anyway.
