Hi so sometimes you see Goodyear eagles with yellow good year logos or falken with white logo etc on the sidewalk.

Do you buy the tyre like those or are people painting them like so afterwards? Anyone have experience with this?

Generally more American muscle car type tyres and some motor sport ones have colored logos. You could paint them but it would look a bit silly if you ask me.

some of them come like that out of the factory

The pirelli p zero for example, the top of the range ones come from the factory with a red p zero.

there's another one that comes like out of the factory like that too. Can't think which brand it is though. I can see the logo in my head, but can't for the life of see which one it was.

*edit* think the logo was white, and its one of the michelin tyres. I've got a 1:18 scale model of the 911 GT1 at home with them on. Theres a lad round the corner with a stripped out saxo who has them on. Think they are track day tyres.

I helped a guy do this to an Audi Coupé with Goodyear tyres using a Tippex pen. Looked great, for the weekend at least. Went well with the painted cardboard side skirts and spoiler :D

As above, quite a few of the drivers at work seem to like doing this to their trucks, most seem to use paint pens, and tbh it looks quite good, until you scrub up against a kerb & rub it all off again!

Not for me tbh, car or truck.

Don't you just get assigned a truck on a daily basis? surely while a trucker is on his holidays for 2 weeks his truck doesn't just sit idle?

Oh and I think the tyre paint thing looks a bit naff. That said I might see what it looks like on one of my rears before it goes in for new boots just to prove myself right/wrong :p

The story goes, i saw the blue skyline GTR pics of an R34 in that bayside blue or whatever it is, and it had painted yellow goodyears with much larger rears than the fronts, it looked like a true muscle car (US take on it on a japanese motor). It looked phenominal.
