Pair my Aego Ms with a soundcard

Anyone recommend a soundcard to me to use with my Sennheiser HD280s and my Aego Ms? I'm currently using rubbish soundmax integrated sound, so just about anything would be an improvement, I think.

A note: my PCI slot is unavailable due to my cpu cooler, I do have a PCI-E 1X slot that I can use - is that enough for the newer soundcards?

Yep, your PCI-E slot will be good to use.

Mind that creative have had support issues in the past....might want to check out the official creative forums first before getting a creative soundcard.

It's a good brand and support can be found pretty easily with them, I personally have not used it but my friend has been quite impressed with the ASUS and asked me to dump my creative card for this one
