hey guys

Just got a old 28" widescreen tv put in my room and tried playing DOA4. A error popped up on screen saying i cant play this game unless i put it into PAL 60 mode. I did that but the whole screen is rather fuzzy and black and white.
I dont think theres a way around it but what games are/ are not compatible with PAL 50?

Just so i know...

thanks

well i dont have a clue what RGB is but im using all the standard stuff that came with my premium console. I have 3 coloured plugs (red, white, yellow) into the scart adapter into the scart socket on the back of the tv.

BTW the make of the TV is TATUNG lol. Cheap brand but i got it for free. Looks pretty modern that's why im slightly miffed that i cant play certain games because it doesnt support PAL 60.

That's the standard composite scart cable then, but composite still does PAL60, if your TV supports it. Have you tried the cable in both scart sockets (if there are two) and tried all of the different AV/EXT channels?

nope tried most things and still no go. Looked at the back of the tv and on a sticker it says 50Hz which i take it means PAL 50. In that case looks like im stuck with PAL 50. As i mentioned earlier is there any list or any site that tell you if the games are PAL 50 compatible. I know DOA4 isnt, apparently oblivion isnt either.

Not really going to help you much, but all 360 games on their actual box says 60HZ only (if they only run in 60HZ).

You MAY be best to use a VGA cable and plug it in to your PC monitor TBH.

My pc monitor is only a 17" and i just upgraded from a 14" portable lol. Got another tv in the garage and its 60hz compatible so ill just swtich them around. The one in the garage isnt widescreen but its 28" so ill just swap them around. Thanks guys :)
