Palit 1080 Dual

I have one they run really quiet.

Lot of people on this forum have one and everyone seems happy with them. They are great for the money, when I got mine it was cheaper than a lot of the 1070's.

If you overclock these cards do get loud.

Running at stock in my cooler master pro 6 case it's silent.

Depends - pretty fine margin with these cards - fairly quiet under normal operation but not a lot of buffer from there to where the fan is very noisy - compared to some of my more expensive purchases in the past which had much more of a margin before the fans really kicked in.

EDIT: Not sure if the 1080 dual is different under the shroud or not - but the 1070 dual has all aluminium heatsinks, etc. so doesn't take much to saturate them requiring faster fan speeds - not normally a big issue but if you don't have good case cooling or overclocking, etc. its easy to have the fans ramp up - you get what you pay for I guess.

Yeah agreed as soon as you start overclocking these cards or if you have warm case this card gets loud.

Decent case without overclocking they run sweet.

To put it into perspective - I use a passive CPU tower with a low speed 120mm and 140mm Be Quiet! Silent Wings 3 PWM fans on the case and it takes a couple of hours or so of gaming before the GPU fans are noticeably distinct over that unless I overclock.

Yeah with my old scout case and stock cpu cooler I was kind of wishing I had spend the extra and got next model up over the palit because on hot days or long sessions my pc started to make noise.

Since I upgraded to bigger case and added a cpu cooler Im very happy with my palit dual, even long sessions on hot days you barely notice the card.

I've not used the Palit dual cards but I have used a Palit 1070 gamerock and the cooler on that is a monster. Awesome cooler even when OC'ing, virtually silent. Think the super jetstream's also use the same cooler too but with a different shroud.

I had this card, sold it to someone on the forums, ran silent and overclocked it ran silent, what a great card it was.
