Palit 4090 Gamerock and GameRock OC coolers

Hi all, I want to fit my 4090 into a slim case, but have to remove the shroud, fans, and bend some bits of the 4090 Palit GameRock cooler (shroud mounting points and fan wiring mounts) so it will fit. I'll then be limiting the wattage slightly and adding a load of fans to push/pull the air through it side ways rather than blow it from the top.

The question is, I want to get/be able to get a spare cooler just in case but can only find one which is marked as the 4090 palit Gamerock OC cooler, anyone know if the OC and non OC ones are the same?

It may come up so - I have considered a smaller GPU/bigger case, but this is for a custom eGPU case I want to be portable and have found an electronics/projects enclosure at a good size point, and by selling this gpu and getting something that fits would lose significant performance (35% ish) and I won't get back much money from the swap (2nd hand 4090 to new 4070ti super or something). I use it for VR and for working in VR and high res headsets really need every bit of power they can get to make the most of them. Thanks all

I'm 99.9% sure they're the exact same cooler, with the only difference between the two models being a factory OC on the one bearing that moniker.

If possible, maybe see if you can find a Dell/Alienware 4090 which are smaller but still good cooling.

Approx Dimensions in mm 304x125x50.
