anyone here bought a Palit 8800GTX or any other card made by Palit?

A new name in the graphics card manufacturing business to me...but at present offering excellent prices on their 8800 cards. Anyone know of any reviews etc?

I was contemplating ordering one.

Thanks

palit owns xfx i believe, and is part of "pine". also owns Sparkle..

should be as reliable as pretty much every other brand. if you get a dud card RMA same as always/

remember the manufacturer support doesnt matter, your contract is with the reseller, not manufacturer..

ahh...OK. Much respectable then! Had a couple of gainward cards allready...and no probs. Might get meeself a nice cheap 8800GTX then.

Should be fine, all 8800's are made in the same factory, when they come off the line they get their individual branded stickers slapped on em, BFG, XFX, etc... only things different are length of warranty, and what you get with the card, but the cards are identical apart from the sticker as said. :)

I have a Palit 7800GTX still going strong in my main machine.
Purchased it because it was a fair amount cheaper than the other brands and at the end of the day it has to satisfy NVidia's reference design to be allowed to be sold as a 7800GTX.

Used several dozen Palit cards in machines over the last month, all I can say is why buy anything else? £50-100 for a BFG lifetime warranty when you'll only have the card 12-18months in a lot of cases.

As already stated standard Reference design, on the 8800's I managed to OC one of the GTS's I fitted to 644MHz Core and 1890 RAM :D
