I bought an OcUK 9800GT, turns out to be a Palit one.. It all works great but there is an extra cable in the box. Its a thin two wire cable that breaks into a jumper type end on one end thats split in two and a small white connector on the other end that looks like it attaches to a connector on the card.

Just wondering what this is for? Any ideas? Is it somehow related to fan control as the fan spins at 100% constantly..

Is that it?

I think some PSU's don't have a 6 pin power cable so that converts two difffrent pins to enable power to the card, if you have a 6pin cable from your PSU then you dont have to worry about it.
