Can some one shine some light on palit, i have never heard of them personally and there being flogged as OCuk Cards on here. My mates are saying they wouldnt ever buy one because BFG has lifetime warrenty etc. I have one and personally its great with good overclocking performance. I Was looking on ebay and there was a palit 8800GTS and it says

All 8800GTS and 8800GTX cards are built by FOXCONN and then sold to NVIDIAs partners complete. Thats right - whatever brand you buy is the same with a different sticker on it ! Nvidia have done this to control the quality of this very complex product, manufacturers may be allowed to design their own cards in the future.

Is this true as i have heard Foxxconn are no good either :)

Hi there

Foxconn don't make all the cards. Their are 3 main manufacturers, flextronics, foxconn and another who I cannot think of the name right now.

Flextronics are supposedly the best quality cards is what the partners say. :)

All of them have to meet certain standards so are fine, just consider its a bit like Toyota and Lexus. Wheras Flextronics are like the Lexus division who are normally responsible for the first batches of new cards that come out. :)

Is there anyway to find out which board provider is used for the different brands?

I assume that Leadtek use Foxconn boards. But stumped by the other big names.

Ah didn't know that - my bro works for Flextronics over in canada and has been spending time at their production facility in Shindou (or somewhere like that) I might see if I can get some cheap from him. ;) Maybe I could be a dealer here Gibbo :o :p

Hi there

I had a meeting with EVGA this week and they basically said for high-end such as 8800 series though I always to have cards that have been built by flextronics. They supposedly really are the cream of the crop.

Though now its possible partners are building their own 8800's as most of them are capable. :)
