Almost all the 8800GTXs will be reference design. I know of only one exception, and that's the BFG Watercooling Crazily Priced Edition.
It will perform no better and no worse than any other brand. It might overclock slightly better or even slightly worse (believe it or not, but overclocking is rather random), but they're cheap so it makes no difference.
