Hello all. I am need of a little help.

I have some high res images of car components, and i want the viewer to be able to zoom in and pan (navigate by holding left click and drag) around to see a close up in good detail if they wish.

I found an example of exactly what i am looking for, replacing car components with trainers!

Please look at the following page for the example i wish to emulate. http://size.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10701_11551__359109_-1_

I really hope someone can point me in the right direction for how i can achieve this.

I can see it has been done in flash. My flash skills are very limited. Do you guys know of any pre-written scripts that i can use, or any (preferably free) programs designed to produce this end product.

I've had a search but i cant find anything.

Hope you guys can help.

Gil.

If you've having difficulty finding something for free then Active Den is the sort of place that might be of interest.

Specifically you can even filter down to just "Image Viewers and Galleries". That sounds like exactly the sort of thing you're after.

After just 2 seconds looking I came across this: http://activeden.net/item/premium-zoom-and-pan-tool/74597

Although not exactly the same as the demo one but it would ultimately serve the same purpose. Most things on there are around the $15 mark - so about a tenner. Worth looking at if you're stuck.

If you do decide to go for one let us know what you used and how you found working with it! :-)

Edit: Ah, a search for "zoom" under the "Image Viewers and Galleries" seems to do the trick - http://activeden.net/searches?term=zoom&categories[image-viewers-galleries]=1

Couple of others that caught my eye that both look really simple to use:

http://activeden.net/item/zoom-v2/23982

Only thing I can't see is any viewers with the ability to load up higher resolution images as you zoom in... dunno how much priority you have on that requirement...
