I'm currently looking for a suitable 22 or 24 inch monitor which will be for business use only. Other than the usual, the only additional feature is that it must be able to rotate (if that's the right word in this context!?). For example, your sitting at your desk facing the monitor, and you'd like to allow someone using the desk in-front of you to be able to view the screen, you'd be able to physically turn the monitor around without moving the base, if possible. Hopefully someone knows what I'm talking about.

I've always known the 4:3 Viewsonic monitors to allow rotate to 3:4 and I cherish the two 4:3 Viewsonics that I've had from OcUK. I don't know if it extends to their 16:9 / 16:10 range though.

He's not asking about it being rotated to portrait, he's asking if the stand allows the screen to move a full 180' so it's facing the opposite direction whilst the stand hasn't moved.

Easiest way is get something with a VESA mount and attach it to a desk stand, most desk-mounts will spin round and round within the limits of the cable-slack.

User guides should tell how much.
Manufacturer often uses same stand in most of their monitors so if stand is similar looking then it probably behaves similarly.

I think the Dell 2209WA does that...
Doesn't show in here:

Rotating might well be limited to that because of asymmetric base staying stationary which would cause stability problems if panel was rotated "backwards".
Yep, that stand is limited to 45 degrees:

And so is V-style stand of 24" models.

That site should have that information for all reviewed monitors.

At least LG's round base/vertical pillar stand rotates around.
