Nice to see young uns finally catching up with what we old uns already knew about 15 years ago when I joined Easynews.
I've never used a Torrent.

This infuriates me. Do not give these big firms and their legal sections more power. It's effectively bulling, sending unnecessary threatening letters and the victims have no chance whatsoever defending themselves in court.

I think it's absolutely disgusting that they go after vulnerable individuals and try to extract extortionate sums of money in fines. It's pathetic.

As for that cretin saying the record industries are losing profit on illegal downloads, does he realise that people wouldn't buy the songs anyway,

Watched Panorama on iPlayer tonight.

Heard chunks of The Knife being used as background music a few times, a band I was introduced to a few years ago via a torrent site and have since bought 2 of their albums

Just seen the repeat tonight.

It was pretty well balanced, I thought. Lots of different, valid, and conflicting points of view.

And ultimately they also got an expert to say "it's all futile, anonymous systems will defeat it". I don't really see how they could have reported it any more impartially.

Of course none of it will be news to anyone here.
