Slightly weird-sounding request perhaps, but could someone let me know the dimensions of an XL loaf please?

Reason I ask, is because i'm going to order an Oxo container off of the big river and I just want to ensure I get one that isn't too small (or needlessly huuuuuuuuge!)

The container i'm currently looking at is 5.2l (15.7cm x 15.7cm x 31.5cm)

Really appreciate it - thanks :D

I don't know if you're aware but the different bread sizes only affect the height of the loaf. I've never gone beyond a "L" because even a "L" slice won't fit in the largest of 2-slice toasters I've seen.

Coincidently I measured the bread basket (where you put the ingredients in) this morning as I was going to order some bread bags later. It was under 15cm wide and under 16cm deep. I didn't take the length and those figures aren't exact either sorry.

As above, a large loaf is much taller than a toaster and seems to be about the max size the machine would handle anyway. Also the size varies with the type of bread, some reads rise much more than others.

Thanks for the info! I was assuming that the XL was more of a "normal" size, with anything below that, being tiny (I'm not a pig - honest!) :D

Given the dimensions of the tin itself, I think i'll stick with my original container and see how it goes - cheers!

XL is ****ing glorious size for man sandwiches of winning, M is probably "square sandwich loaf" size, and L is a bit bigger than a supermarket bloomer.
