I just upgraded from a Nikon Coolpix 3200 and couldn't be happier. A friend of mine has a D50 and while the images from that are better if you eye them through a magnifying glass, to my eye the difference wasn't enough to justify the extra expense just jet...

Dammit I forgot to disable the image-leeching message on that domain - give me five minutes please while I poke myself with a sharp stick!

Right, all links should now work.

nice sharp water droplets in the first pic - what shutter speed/settings were used?

1/2000 at f8.0 with standard flash...

Apart from the awesome zoom and IS with this thing, one of the reasons I bought it was that it would give me the ability to photograph my hyperactive kids without them appearing all blurry like they did with the Nikon 3200...

You can shoot one-handed at full 432mm equiv. zoom on this thing and actually get a decent shot. Well, half the time anyway... ;)

Nice shots :)

I had an FZ3 - but recently swapped it for a Canon EOS-10D.... oh how I miss Image Stabilisation.... :(

I came VERY close (placed an order, but cancelled it last minute) to buying an FZ7 - then a friend offered me his EOS-10D for a price I would have been mad to refuse....I would recommend the Panasonic FZ range to anyone - fantastic cameras :)

Nice shots - some comments from me.

Shot 2 - It looks very washed out due to lack of contrast.
Shot 4 - The lens flare is too distracting

The others are okay though

There are plenty of EF lenses with IS to choose from :)
