anyone thinking of getting one these i would like to get one ot these and sell my pani g1 i have just purchased a 14-140mm lens so only want to buy body only if panasonic allow ,just wondering what your views are as a video/stills camera ,my only concern is the video only shoots 24p 1080 not 25p 1080 unless someone knows different there has been some delays so wether pani will make the european gh2 support 25p for pal ,i am hopeing it will be good upgrade over g1 as a stills camera and hopefully lead me to shoot some video .

as to the 24p vs 25p difference i wouldnt worry, 24p will look great.
The cam itself will be a big upgrade from you G1, not only will you get the best video of ANY hybrid camera there is, and arguably the best vid of ANY non-RED (very expensive hollywood movie cameras www.red.com), but you also you get the best high iso there is for micro four thirds.
If video isnt of interest it may not be the most financially sound investment.
I have the GF1 and im considering the GH2, but i do some video work. Im also considering the pentax K-x, which is an absolute bargain @ £400 with a 15-55 and 55-200mm. which is on par with the GH2 IQ wise and even better at high ISO.

well i do intend on shooting video ive just upgraded me computer to cope with the video files i got the verso viper with some improvments .also brought a 14-140mm hd lens so im hoping to give it a shot ,the only thing im a bit unsure of is what software to use for editing ,wont i loose a frame shooting in 24p when pal is either 25p or 50i or hear you can render it to 25p ,chap at work says it has a lot to do with codec,s also read that i wont notice the difference between 24p and 25p but will not be able to mix the two which will only be a problem if broadcasting which is a 25p standard ?
