Afternoon TV people!

I've had a Panasonic 50" GT50 for about 3 months now. Recently I've noticed more an more some Vertical Banding on the right hand side of the panel, screens now done 1000+ hours and the problem seem to have got more pronounced.

The bands are accompanied by a mottled look on single coloured images, the retailer are sending an engineer out on Saturday to take a look but from reading a bit online it appear to be a bit of a screen lottery. If it a repairable issue or am I stuck with it?

Thanks for any feedback :)

Difficult to capture in a still.

I've had mine about the same time and not noticed any banding. I have noticed a gap between the edge of the picture and the start of the bezel but don't know what this would be called to research it!

this is caused by the pixel orbiter

turn it off if you don't want the gap.

but it helps prevent image retention my moving the whole screen around

Oh really? You've just made my day :D I've been looking at cringing at having to send it back and being without a screen for a bit. I'm happy to leave it there now I know it's not a fault. Definitely want pixel orbiter on with my missus in control of it all day :D

no such issues with my GT50, the only problem i have is DFC (dynamic false contouring) and image retention for logos

I've got the usual Image Retention but with decent management it never persisted for more than 30mins to so even after long sessions on Diablo.

I'll be gutted if they have the change the panel, all those hours of conditioning to be done again :(
