Hi there I have a PANASONIC TX-L42D26BA
Ive had this for around 6 months now and had nothing but problems, when I first got it home all the screen was green, so the shop replaced it. The replacement set was good for a month until it started showing big white images in the background,
an engineer came and wrote tv off. 3rd set came and been ok for a few months, now started turning off and on randomly! again i got in contact with the tv shop and they sent an engineer to replace a psu board, but the problem is still not fixed and now there planning on replacing other parts on tv.
Im so annoyed with them loosing 5days off work and not even having a working set for the last month. what i was wondering was, when the engineer was replacing parts in the tv, he was using a big power drill and took no steps what so ever to protect parts against static damage? is this not nessasary with tv motherboards and will the magnet on the drill not damaged components?
Ive asked to speek to the stores manager but nobody is interested there (this is a major store, but dont think aloud to mention on here)

Im not using the free sat but i do have it connected for times when its bad weather and sky gives up lol. ive been on the phone more time than i can remember and talked till im blue in the face. they dont care and just remind me of there rights!

Ive told them I want an exchange for a similar spec/price tv. ive always had samsungs and never any bother. They just dont care and say there well within there rights to keep comig repairing the tv. I expressed how unhappy I am with after sales care and they are just not interested. like talking to a brick wall.

I rang trading standards yesterday and they are writing a letter on my behalf, Funny enough the head complaints officer for there head office phoned me when i got home from work, asking what the problem was, i explained that I just wanted to swap for a similar spec similar price tv and she agreed they should swap it and is putting it to there service department. Its funny how there high and mighty until you get trading standards involved and now they cant do enough!, so hopefully I will be able to swap the tv snd resolve this, thanks for your help guys :-)
