Seen one for £ 999 in the boxing day sales, now that's pretty good for a top quality 3D panny plasma

prices are starting to drop guys, i've seen similar too

Most people find this years samsung and panasonic tv's to be a big improvement over last years.

I personally would rather take a new sammy plasma or a panasonic from the 2012 range.

sorry it's refurbished from Hyperfi and the next cheapest is Ex-showroom stock.

i didn't notice this at first.... damn it :(

plus it isn't this years !!!!

mate some advise the vt30 is an outstanding tv and the only tv to better it is the vt50, dont be put off by a slight improvement... i guarantee that if both set's side by side, image wise the average user wont tell the difference. Yet if your upgrading from a cheaper set you will notice that huge leap especially at bluray standard. What tv do you use currently?

Except the ST50 has equal/better black levels than the VT30.

I have the vt20 and the vt50, I can barely notice the difference in the blacks levels.. Jesus the cmd between the vt20, 30 and 50 are fractional. Yet again the average tv viewer won't be able to tell the difference between the best sets on offer

it's not the tv, that's fine, it's the fact that it's Refurbished from Hyperfi !
it aint new, it'll either be ex-showroom, or returned broken and repaired/ B-Grade stock

this is a bit scary and definitely dodgy, there are loads of these bargains around

i have the sony RPTV KDS 55A 2000

Richersounds is the same price, what's the warranty and glasses cost

not sure but i already have a separate Warranty for my existing tv, i've had it for years, it's just a case of transfering it over, i'm not really interested in the free 3D Glasses, this is a promotion only.

i last used Cheap Electricals 7 years ago and they were great, this is a brand new 55'' old stock Panny so at this price it's pretty good, it also gets a great review from 2011....i.e it isn't refurbished or ex-showroom like nearly all the others

but i will wait before buying it, just in case it drops further in the Jan sales, i might get the TX-P50ST50B, but i do prefer a 55'' screen...after all; who wouldn't :D

what about the Sammy ps60e530 ? when you've got a thousand quid you may as well spoil yourself and get the best Panny instead...... because this tv has to last the next 3 years until OLED is cheap enough

http://www.panasonic.co.uk/html/en_...tml?p=TX-P50ST50B&p=TX-P50GT50B&p=TX-P50VT50B here is a nice wee panny comparison site for the latest stuff.

personally your asking the wrong guy about sammy tv's i have never been a fan and seen to many peeps have probs with them.

yea those are the best 3 Pannys, in fact, all 3 are about the same P.Q, i'll either get one of these or that 55'' last years version.

no i'm not mad keen on the Sammy either, i saw one in Currys and i banged it accidentally with my elbow, it rocked on its stand for ages, i turned around quickly grabbed it to steady it and said, ``Flipping heck man, this stand is useless, it's like me after 8 pints``.... this was 3 weeks ago :D

the Sammy will never look as realistic or as 3D looking as the Panny, our 42'' G20 looks flipping amazing and it's about 3 years old now !!!

The only difference is the vt/gt run at higher hz than the st meaning the movies will be a bit smoother, but hey my vt20 runs a third slower and it's extremely hard to notice the difference with the vt50. When watching a bluray like avatar you will notice the difference when you turn of the intelligent frame creation.

the VT is way too expensive, so i'll probably go for the GT.... but i'll never notice the difference between them anyway, i'm only really a gamer i dont have Bluray, i rarely watch films !

i game all the time so my main concern is Response Rate, then blacks/ contrast ratio/ whites.

my current tv is 55'', so i guess i'll get used to 50'' especially if it's miles better than now, but ideally i'd like the same size as now so i'll wait a bit longer.

i dont mind technology from 2011 especially if it's a panny, but a GT30 is very tempting right now, especially if the stock is running out !

Thx although its nice is a bit of a gimmick, any true enthusiast will tweak the settings to get a better picture. You could pay the dosh and get an engineer to do it correctly to your surrounding or google other people settings and play with them to suit your needs.

The important bit is to get the 5 year warranty most shops do for free now

yes, the ST50 is interesting too, but it seems to be about the same price, i've just seen one for 899 quid, but at currys it's 999 quid..

these look like they wont drop in price due to the sales.... because only the rubbish you'd never buy is dropping in price today.

i think i'll have to buy soon, i'm suspicious that stocks might run out, it looks like the ST50..... FOR NOW, i'll do another final search on Boxing day
