Panasonic Viera 4k uhd 50dx700b not displaying 4k.

So I've recently acquired an xbox one s and noticed its playing in 1080p. Tried changing settings but can't activate 4k on the xbox and can't find a setting to change on the tv, options such as advanced settings are greyed out.

Any ideas? My Google fu is failing me.

Thanks for the imput guys but sorted it in the end, I wasn't aware it needed to be plugged into hdmi 1. There is definitely an improvement.
