Hi.

Does anyone own one of these sets?

PANASONIC VIERA TX-50AS500B Smart 50" LED TV

If so what are your thoughts?

What is the "best" telly around the £550 - £650 price mark.

Looking for built in WiFi, Smart functions and good for gaming.

Any advice appreciated!

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.

The 3 models I am considering are:

SONY BRAVIA KDL42W705BBU Smart 42" LED TV
SAMSUNG UE48H6400 Smart 3D 48" LED TV
PANASONIC VIERA TX-50AS500B Smart 50" LED TV

I went for the SONY after reading on here about the input lag (I would like to use it with my laptop etc) and other reviews.

However when I pressed buy it was out of stock!

Still no reviews on the Panny but I think a Panny at that size and price will probs use a cheaper panel (I may be wrong here).

I will certainly take a look at the model you have suggested.

Cheers.

I think the AS500B will be the most basic panel in the range. As Lemin says KDL50W656 is a great 50" option, if out of stock then just try elsewhere?

Alternatively, if you don't mind sacrificing size for quality the KDL42W829 is a grade higher than the Sony you mention and can be had at the mid-range of your budget.

The UE48H6400 is also a option between the two but a little pricier for it.

In case anyone was interested I went for the

SONY BRAVIA KDL42W705BBU Smart 42" LED TV

in the end.

It's a fantastic set.

More than happy with the decision and therefore recommend it.
