Just bought it today :D still in box plan on getting it setup tonight
anyone bought this screen its reviews look great, and it has netflix 4k support hvec chip.

and has display port input for 4k @60hz via pc.

cant wait to try it out it looks out of this world in the shop floor.

cost me £1799 incl 5 year guarantee.

sweet :D
currently trying to find a review that shows me there calibrated settings and what to turn on and what to turn off for best quality picture.

im also trying to figure out how to get 4k @60hz via my pc to this tv

the graphics card i have is mini display 1.2 compatible and the tv is hdmi 2.0 compatible and display port 1.4 compatible

though im trying to fiure out what cable i need

would this cable work ?

CSL - 3m (metres) mini DisplayPort (miniDP) to DisplayPort (DP) cable | certified | 24ct gold-plated contacts | PC & MAC / MAC, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and many more

though it does not list it as 4k @60hz im guessing any mini display to display cable would work
though not sure about the maximum leanth of cable to be compatible with the bandwith or stable ect.

Shame you did'nt wait a few days as most will be doing it for £1699, could have got it for that plus a 6 year at Pana stores.

i have 26 days i can return it if i wanted + they said they would do a price match im going to phone them in a few days as a few places currently have it @100 cheaper so going to get that knocked off if i can

on the + side this screen is amazing. :D

hey lucid mate can snap a few pictures of your calibration settings for me please also 3d settings aswell and pc settings as you can set the settings up for every input......

when my cable arrives i will be mini display port out of r9295x2 to display port on the tv to get 4k @60hz.
and for tv i am currently using free sat until my sky hd 2TB box arrives on the 30th.
im trying to calibrate it myself... but so meny sources im using lol

also netflix 4k is working for me and dam that marco polo and house of cards look utterly awesome
i head that amazon instant video has more 4k content and i have a sub on that also but i cant for the life of me get 4k content working with this tv i think they only support samsung and sony i wonder why that is very disappointed in that bit of news from reading about though no one states why i have the hvec chip so not sure why...

oh well :) lol guess i will tweak away until i get it right for my eyes...

though only source i currently have at the minute is 4k netflix.
and for some reason i get the funny suspicion that the quality of netflix 4k produces what i would call grain/hazyness as i get the feeling they are not streaming me true native 4k content.

well i went to currys hahaha figures they would only price match these stores

A.O = they didnt even have the TV in stock lol
Argos = Again not in stock or available
Asda = not in stock or available
Tesco = not in stock or available
John lewis = These had it in stock but not in my size tv 58"

what a load of tosh might aswell call it poormans price match stores lol, and even then none of them had the tv in stock or any availability apart from john lewis.... but wrong size.

haha yeah...

well after testing out the set so far it seems pretty good but there are a few issues that might annoy me in the future.

i seem to have on my screen what looks like light grey clouding or back light bleed and only shows up in the blackest of movies - DOOM for example.

bottom left middle of the screen
though some content can show black scenes and not have this issue at all or show this issue.

could it be back light bleeding, or a setting in my picture settings.

yeah its a update, just do a firmware update via the tv after you setup the tv`s wireless lan ;)

and yeah think i fixed most of the clouding :D or my eyes are adjusting lol

watched the new transformers age of extinction via xboxone in 3d and it was utterly amazings i can sey though this set beats my panny plasma in the 3d department infact its not far off plasma quality once calibrated :D

update.

My mini dp to dp cable came today :) plugged it into my graphics card and then into hdmi 4 on the tv...

instantly i got the correct 4k resolution :)
what is weird though i actually have a higher resolution than 4k resolution.. ????

and 4k and the higher resolution works perfectly @60hz and when i press the info button on remote its showing the correct resolutions as well....

why is my panasonic displaying a higher res than 4k ?

yeah your right just noticed that it cuts a little off each side of the screen.
and for some reason also does not have any understand or overscan options there greyed out.
and finally no 60hz option @ the 4k above resolution only that resolution works @24hz lol
must be for cinema 4k or something like you said.
but 4k res works @60hz and again no underscan or overscan but no need as the aspect ratio is correct...

Having a problem with mine, had it a week now and i just cant get rid of the issues.

getting a horizontal line when in vertical panning shots.
both left and right sides of the tv produce clouding and cause colors to fade
bottom low center and right center cause a v shaped clouding/backlight bleed on dark movie pictures
and also starting to get purple tint on blacks

and for a 1799 price point you would expect perfection just to meny niggling issues
apart from that the 4K quality and PQ are outstanding in performance and quality
but with those above issues i think im going to get it replaced. and if the next set has the same issues or worse, i will be going the 4k pc monitor route.

thanks but i already did the shipping reset....
have noticed something strange though.

mostly when watching TV the issues are gone
when i change to NETFLIX or anything that uses the VOD - video on demand causes the picture to be worse.... for some reason its like the display has different methods for different video methods that are used on this set and there not all even, could even be a black/backlight firmware issue/ software issue.

like you said i to have noticed reseting to shipping condition does fix the most of the backlight bleed, though it seems to return not sure why.

Have you put up a greyscale pattern ramp to see whats going on?

and how would i do that.........

also i remember there being isos out there that you could use to play from your bdplayer or pc to set up the screen calibration HDTV or something like that use to do them
various isos with various formats for calibration.... cant remember the name of it ....

well tried this calibration out and pretty awesome results.
i can live pretty much with the slight color shift on the left and right sides of the screen but i cant seem to stop looking at the V shaped cloud/bleed in the lower center of the screen in dark scenes.

i think im going to have to take this screen back at the weekend. and get it swapped out for something smaller with higher build quality say 50 inch instead of 58 and possibly go for the samsung or lg curved or pay a little extra for there OLED.

Got rid of mine, uniformity in these displays where a big no no to me.
and picked up a sammy 55" curved and i have to say the quality was better.
though thats my opinion and i tried to like this tv a lot and got it exchanged about 4 times and all 4 times had issues be it the quality of the product right down to the uniformity as well as blobs on the screen and clouding issues.

bought 1 55" samsung curved 4k and no issues off the bat.. either i was lucky or panasonic hates me lol
