Not a pancake recipe but more of a topping suggestion.
My family engage in a weird pancake topping tradition which is brown sugar and malt vinegar. Everyone in my family uses malt vinegar rather than lemon andI have never been able to get anyone outside of our family to try it. My nan before she died,used to make raspberry vinegar which works even better on pancakes with sugar. It's an unusual combo i know but i urge anyone to try it!
At the end of the day you are changing 1 acid for another, lemon for vinegar and raspberry vinegar works very well IMO. I urge anyone to try it... please! lol
