Panel differences

Hi guys

I have a triple monitor setup with two being U2410's and the third being a HP 20inch ips. I would like to have another to match the U2410's and was wondering if all the panels listed here would be exactly the same picture wise.

Do you mean to add another Dell U2410 as the third panel? If so they should be pretty similar but at work we run on 2 x U2414H's and on my ones in particular, with both monitors set to the exact same settings - the right one has lower brightness & contrast. Therefore I had to increase it up to 80% & 90% for it to look near enough identical with the left one (only set to 75% for both values).

I believe this could be down to the standard factory calibration setting as Dell nowadays calibrate most of their monitors during production.

Sorry i was not that clear i have bought a HP LP2475w which uses a similar panel and was wondering if it would match the two U2410's i have.

No worries - I also thought along the same lines as that as well.

In that case it may be similar to what I wrote in my first post. Also however in my experience at home, I ran a Dell U2515H a few weeks ago for a brief time before selling it on to downgrade to a 24" again for gaming and now I'm back to a 25" using an AOC Q2477PWQ (1440p is like night & day when compared to 1080p).

The reason I went for the AOC when going to back a 25" this time around was not only because it's cheaper, but they use near enough the same LG panels - both look identical in real life but the last part of the model numbers differ ever so lightly from what I discovered online. It could be the case that one of the panels is newer than the other or a model revision but to me - both panels perform and look visibly identical. Again, this could be the case for yourself if you ran the Dell monitors along with your HP.

Exactly the answer i was looking for and should be ok after comparing both panel specs on panelook.com. Only difference seems to be the LVDS pin count which is probably the same with your panels from dell and AOC

Will be running 3600x1600 in nvsurround so plenty of res for now.

Thanks for the help

No problem - I was going to go for the Dell U2515H again but a couple of weeks ago while doing a quick browse in that famous purple shirt shop down the road I came across the AOC model by mistake and upon closer inspection it then occurred to me that the actual panel looked identical to the Dell one... just a shame that the resolution it was running at the time must have been 1280x720 or something as it looked horribly stretched and didn't do the display any justice - and the same display was also mirrored across seven other large monitors that they had on display
