PANIC (computer fail)

Was just on my computer a few mins ago when i went to plug in my headphones and my computer suddenly turned off, I went to turn it back on but nothing happend, no fans, nothing on screen, so i opened the side of the case and tried turning on the board using the button on the actual mobo but nothing still.

I have no idea whats wrong and any help would be nice.

My setup:

XFX nvidia nforce 780i mobo

Intel quad q9550

XFX nvidia gtx 285

OCZ Gamexsteam 750watt PSU

OCZ reaper ddr2 800MHz ram

Check the fuse in the plug first. If that is ok test with another power supply.

Have you checked the plug fuse? Reset cmos?

Going to try it now i got a 250 watt PSU spare but not sure it will be able to power my system, what do you rekon?

Just noticed somthing, there is still a blue LED on my mobo to show that there is power so you still think its fuse?

You won't be able to connect your GTX285 to that PSU but it should light the green LED on the mobo , if it wasn't lit before then it's
looks like PSU failure exactly like when my Corsair 620 failed

Edit, lol post above whilst I typed shows you have a light!

If it's a fuse then nothing lights up

I just remembered when mine failed I tried a Tagan 450 PSU but it wouldn't even fit the mobo let alone my GTX280

I'm starting to think its somthing to do with mobo maybe i just fried it?

I have the same issue , I have the Asus P5QL SE mobo and when i turned it on it makes a very slight click and nothing else (occasioanly the fan will jerk ever so slighty, but that intermittent), when i opened her up (yeh its a she

) I noticed a green LED light on the board so i know its probably not the PSU.

Can anyone confirm this is mobo problem before i buy another one?

Maybe but I get nothing like the power button is not even plugged in, no fans, no lights anything

but i do have a orange and a blue LED which shows i have power and thats ment to be normal for my mobo i think

well, ive stripped it of everything but the board and still the same problem, looks like ill be buying a new mobo this weekend, damn!
