Panic ! Mrs laptop kaput need help on new one !

Well my Mrs laptop when boom.... and as I have not budgeted to buy her a new laptop I need some advice on buying her a new one which she wont be disappointed with compared to her old one.

Basically old spec is

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000 2.0 GHz (1066 MHz FSB)
Chipset
Intel PM45+ICH9M
Main Memory
4 GB DDR2 800MHz
Graphic system
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4850 with 1024 MB DDR3
Display
17 inch TFT LCD Widescreen Display 16:10 (1680 x 1050)
HDD
500 GB SATA (5400 RPM)

And I was planing to get a 3ghz I5 with a GT630M graphics card with 4gb or 8 gb of ram ?

Will she be ok performance wise in the few games she plays on her old laptop. I am not really looking for a performance increase but if it went slower I would never here the end of it.

but Ill be waiting forever to get my upgrade

but i must say that seems a really good lappy for the price... and she will be very happy she has a old MSI gt 729 bought from here just the MB gone and its a bit old and flakey before hand.
