My dad has the 46PZ80 Panasonic plasma and a HTPC hooked up via HDMI which is AMD based with the 780G chipset. Basically if I boot the PC and then switch the input nothing is displayed, last night I got it working by either starting the PC with the TV set to the correct input for it or I may have un-plugged the HDMI and reconnected it. Either way if I start the PC first then switch the TV from the SKY on HDMI 1 to the PC on HDMI 2 it doesn't come up.

Anyone have any ideas?

Its the content protection (HDCP). You need to have the tv on the correct channel on boot up, once the pc has loaded you can turn the tv to any channel. I have the same version tv and my 780g mobo does the same. I get around it buy leaving the pc in standby rather than off.
