Hi All,

Well this one is a surprise! I've been a huge Pantera fan for so long now that this news is both exciting and saddening. I grew up with the Pantera Home Videos, saw them every time I could and even chatted to "The Kat" and "Big Val" for a bit so I'm hugely exited to see what's left of the OG Pantera play but then saddened that, with the passed of Dime and Vinnie, it'll never be the a true reunion I wished it could be.

There was lots of initial "fan concern" and/or gatekeeping around the "validity" of this being a Reunion tour with only 2 members, plus fans asking who would risk taking the role of Guitarist & (to a lesser extent TBF) Drummer. I'm glad I may (if they tour the UK) get to see them again irrespective of the conversation about "should it be a reunion" but I think picking Dimes friend Zakk is an absolutely huge positive, not just for his own abilities but for the friendship he shared with Dime, plus the addition of Anthrax's drummer Charlie who is a well respected drummer in his own right is another huge positive.

There's no dates or locations announced as of yet so this is more of a "news" post but once things start getting announced I'll update this thread with the info.

I can't stand Zak Wylde sorry.

I forget what those things are called that he does with the guitar, is it pinch harmonics?

Anyway, I was watching some live stuff on sky arts or whatever and my brother who plays guitar in a band for 20 years or whatever pointed it out, and he does it at the end at almost every bar, and once you notice it you can never unnotice it, and it's annoying as ****.

Once in a blue moon can really add something, not every 4 seconds.....

I thought it was just me. I’ve seen him live a few times with BLS but the last time was in Madrid in 2019 where it really took the ****. 3 songs in it felt like the old alcoholic uncle showing you he can detach his thumb ad-infinitum. By the end we had figured out he was doing it to cover for all of the mistakes. I’m guessing he had powdered his nose a bit too much before the show.
