lost on a big planet.
On the look out for a new shredder as my old one has finnaly kicked the bucket, max amount £100, cross cut, and if possible CD and CC cutter.

Any recommendations on make/model.

Cheers

We have a small fellows one at work, things like a damn combine harvester, everyones scared to use it lol

I got one that was £100 reduced to 50% in a weekend sale somewhere. I'll check the model, but I think its the Fellowes PS-77Cs. Can be found for <£100 and EATS 15 sheets or so, DVDs, credit cards, human limbs etc.

I picked up some shredder for either £7 or £12 (can't recall which) from Stationary Box when I was uni. It works well enough, although it isn't a cross-trimming one. Just a bog-standard linear.

The last one was a Fellowes P-45C, managed to short out the sensor that stops it going when there is no paper going throu, and then trashed the motor from over use.

Been looking on the web and seen some of the Swordfish, look allright but not sure on the brand as its the first time i have seen them, will also have to look at the DS1.

Which? Generally beat them into submission, so if they say they're good, they usually are. Only thing to bear in mind with the Swordfish brand is the blades need regular lubrication.

I've shorted out the sensor on mine too so expect I'll need a new one at some point. I'll probably just run the current one until it dies completely though.
