Following the link a while back to get the free Paragon products , namely Exact Image 7SE & Drive Copy 8SE .Only just installed them on a PC today. They seem very good , although I 've never used products like this before , I'm finding it diffucult to know where to start.I thought I would try to ghost an image to a spare drive ,yes it worked first time . The problem I have now is ....how to get the image to the C: drive on a new PC. The image contains Windows XP and all the drivers and programs taking up nearly 6 gig .The new PC is identical to the one from which the image is taken from , but, all the PC's I build use Fdisk to partitian the drive in FAT32 then format, then using my XP disk ,it re-formats to NTFS and installs , no problem .
I have been looking today for a boot disk for XP to fdisk & format in NTFS ,but I cannot find anything. I have linked the drive as D: [secondaryIDE] but cannot copy the contents to the new C: [does'nt understand the DOS commands like wildcards etc] . Where am I going wrong ?.Remember the new C:\ drive is FAT32 and the ghosted drive is NTFS .Can someone please explain where I'm going wrong .
