Parallel to USB Adapter Help

I have a Xerox Docuprint P8E Laser printer but I don't have a parallel port on the back of my shuttle. I bought a parallel to usb adapter but when I plug it in, it doesn't recognise my printer and says unsupported device.

Are there any other cables I can try that will work ok?

parallel pci card might work, or try reinstalling the drivers for the printer

Thanks, thats a really good idea. I didn't know they did them. I have a shuttle sn25p though and its pci express and not the old pci. I had a quick look for a pci express one but I couldn't find any.

Hard luck on the pci slot.

Have you tried to update the driver for the unsupported device in device manager?
