Parallels 7.0 for Mac

Hi

Does anybody know if you can get a student copy of Parallels 7.0?

Also what is the difference between the full version and an 'upgrade' apart form the price? Would I only be eligible for an upgrade if I had a previous version of Parallels?

Or maybe there is some virtual software that is better/cheaper than Parallels?

Try virtualbox, it's free.

They don't do direct education discounts. Infact they don't do academic licenses in the UK at all.

Check with your institution though. Where I study we get VMware.

Good call on the Apple Store. I was looking on Parallels own website and on the education store:

Personally I would stick with VMWare if you have more than one Mac as the license is per user where as Parallels is per computer.

However if you can get a free vmware license and really want a Parallels 7 you can trade in for £20.
