New to Parallels. From what i can tell the Parallels software itself is assigning an IP address to the virtual XP Pro installation i have. How do i get it to pick up and IP from the server it is connected to?

Thanks.

if you swich it to host only in the networking options of parallels, your windows install will share the same ip address as your mac - its that what your after?

Yes, that is what i want to do. Going in to Parallels preferences, network i have two tickbox options - one is one for shared and one for host-only. I disabled the shared option and going back in to XP i get limited or no connection for the network connection. Do i need to make adjustments to the scope? I should have to as i want a duplication of IPs - if that's possible.

Help.
Ta.

Like prevs post, switch it to host only and that will clone your mac's ip address to your windows machine.

Do you mean the bottom option on:

Because changing that doesn't seem to do much. Do i need to make any changes to the Parallels Host-Guest of Parallels NAT in OSX preferences?

Thanks
