Parcel Delivery System for Flats

This year we've had security doors fitted and it's a right PITA for someone like me that orders lots online. Can anyone recommend a parcel system that could be used? Preferably to suit this setup -

I guess I'm hoping a drop chute system with a coded box on this side, but I don't know that's even possible.

Any ideas?

I am confused, this is your property that you want to fit this chute system to?

You've seen in the title it's for flats, right? Do I own a flat here? yes. Can delivery people get through this security door? No, not always. Is it my door? I guess not. Can I fit something into it? I'm told to find out our options by the guy with the purse strings.

Not sure you're addressing the problem really. It would be easier to get the parcel delivered to an address where you know you will be or to a different address where you can pick it up from at times when you won't be home. What happens if a parcel needs signed for so they won't drop it off even if the means is there to do so?

I'm not sure how you know this will be easier for me? How anything is easier than coming home and a parcel is waiting there for me, I'm not sure?

If you mean there isn't a system like I'm hoping for, you should probably say that instead :)

Why so aggressive? Iff you're not at home then you must be somewhere else. If you can't get it delivered to work then plenty of couriers either have a click and collect service, usually to a local corner shop, or something like Amazon Locker; especially with you being in London.

Like the guy said no solution at your flat will solve the issue if deliveries need signing for.

Aggressive!? Sorry if it's taken that way. There's even a smiley in there and everything! :)

I guess I'm confused to why you all want to solve a different issue to what I asked is all I suppose.:p

I guess I wasn't clear enough, which is my bad, my apologies.

So, my problem is on low cost items that don't need a signature. We have a trade button, but it seems very unreliable. I wont go into more detail though for security/privacy reasons, but I am simply looking for a way that a delivery man can leave a parcel, maybe through a chute system, if no signature is required, so I can then collect it on my return home.

Thanks all.

Fat letter box on the window that isn't the door? Or something like this attached to the outside?

I was confused because its not your property or your door, so would have thought it would be the owner solving this problem not you

Yeah, I'd found that, but I guess for everyone to use it would need a coded back or something, rather than keys? One option would be just to get my own and it could go round the back. It would be a bit annoying though, 'they' chose to fit security doors with 'our' money and then I have to spend my own money to fix the problem 'they' caused for me :(

Still don't see how this your problem to fix, or why you would spend money to sort it out.....

I wont be. I only said one option was to spend my own money. If someone creates a problem for you and says 'I'm real busy, if you can give me a solution I'll get it sorted', do you sit back saying 'nah mate, not my problem'?

How about a drop off point close by where you go to that said drop of point to go 'collect' the parcels? Problem solved.

Sure, there are lots of solutions all the way down to not buying things online, just go into shops. I'm asking for help with this method as it would be easiest for me...

Get the parcel delivered to a local drop off point. I have 2-3 within 2 minute drive of my home. The local co-op, argos, corner shop, etc.

You just go along after work and show ID and collect.

Otherwise buy a detached home, then get a nest Hello installed and tell each driver to stick it in the shed / green house, etc in the back garden
