Sold my laptop on xmas day, within 2 mins of being listed on the auction site . Anyway parcel force were meant to come and collect today however, no one showed up. Anyone know if im entitled for any compensation/discount? Can't find anything on their site.

If you didn't arrange it directly through parcelforce you will have to take it up with the 3rd party. I have lost count of the amount of times I have arrived to collect a parcel only to be told I am 1-2 days late, I soon put them right and tell them we were only given the job a few hours ago.

Happens all the time with companies that act as delivery/collection companies but are in fact nothing more than a middle man and a poor one at that.

Parcelforce are collecting the item from my house and delivering it to the buyer by the way. Seems like you think im collecting the item from somewhere?

No, just checking you didn't arrange it through somewhere like parcel2go. What time did you go online to book it? + what time did you arrange the collection for?

Ah ok, I arranged it last night around 7pm. I specified the time to come and collect as 3.30 - 5.30, no one showed up. A neighbour reports that there was a parcel force van outside at 3pm, I was at the shop at around this time but was back for half past. Surely not my falt if they turned up early outside the time i specified?

Well no defence there then m8, as long as its booked before the vans leave in the morning there is usually no problem. Did you get a confirmation email? Where are you btw?

Yeah i got the confirmation email as soon as i booked it. I'm in Kent. Will phone them in the morning to see whats going on. I've sent an email but i dont expect a reply to quickly.

22 feedback with a 95.5% score isn't *that* great.....but if the money has come from a verified paypal account - it must be OK. Seller beware, do everything to lessen your chances of being scammed. Make a note of the machine serial number? Use a fully insured and trackable signed for delivery service. Trust nobody!

Thanks for the advice, yea im using a signed for and trackable service. Call me naive but, the money is in my bank account now so i have no worries regaring the payment. Or should there still be cause for concern?

The selling site you used to sell ALWAYS favour the buyer, so if there is a problem with the laptop, they will always rule in favour with the buyer. They can chargeback the sum paid to your account. Many have left said site now.

Would you mind putting up a link to the sale so we can take a look at the buyer?

Surely he would have to return the laptop to me before i would have to refund im though right?

You really undersold that laptop, hence the quick buy. I sold a 1545 for 180.00 last month, thats with Vista, 2gb and 160gb + a T3400 cpu (awful).

The guy probably buys up laptops and resells them, probably nothing to worry about. Theres one there thats not even working going so far for 50.00 with 21hrs to go.

Yeah i guess i did, its been sittring in my room collecting dust for months though, so at least im getting something for it. Will go nicely towards the funds for the transformer prime tablet. :D

Rang ParcelForce who asked me to arrange a re-delivery. Asked for a refund instead , will take it to my local post office and get special delivery. Thought it would be easier getting a courier to come and collect.

Parcel Force just turned up! I had emailed asking for a refund this morning as i wasnt expecting anyone to turn up today and they said i wouldn't get a collection until the new year! Strange going's on. Ah well at least it's sent now.
