Parcelforce refusing to compensate

So Parcelforce somehow damaged a parcel I sent to an ebayer buyer and the items went missing. The buyer has been refunded as soon as I heard what Parcelforce had done, and they even sent me a CCTV picture showing the box broken. I've gone through their claims process and they require a damage questionnaire from the buyer. He says he has twice filled it in and sent it back, but Parcel Force says they haven't received it.

How can Parcel Force get away with this and is there anything I can do?

The claim was submitted a month ago.

Tehy refused to compensate me for some smashed plastic car lenses. Looks like they used the box as a cushion to land a plane on so even though I followed their packaging guidelines they refused compensation because they said it was glass.

No, it was plastic, it was just the manufacturer put a fragile sticker on the box saying glass...

Contact the Citizen's Advice Bureau - they may be able to offer some advice on your rights :- https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/

Also - protest with your feet once you've completed the whole process - whether they compensate of not and use another courier in future (let them know this in a snotty letter & on Twitter - companies hate that. ;)

Once bought a mattress online - it was a few days late on delivery ans we phoned the retailer. They said "we can't find it"...

How do you even... ?

I think the buyer has actually sent them the questionnaire,, he was genuinely honest when he received my damaged parcel, unlike Parcelforce who have been extremely unhelpful. They are trying to get out of paying me because of their Terms and Conditions, and they can quite easily say they didn't receive the claims form just so they don't have to pay me. They actually have a CCTV image of the damaged parcel I got them to send to me, and that's not enough evidence for them!

Terrible company I will not go near again.

Send them a snotty letter mentioning Supply of Goods and Services Act. Tell them you don't care about their questionnaire, and that ample evidence is in the cctv pics. "Cough up or see you in court"

Meanwhile ask for the buyer to send *you* a completed questionnaire so you can make copies and send one everyday.

Hahaha. Parcelforce and ebay.

Bit like going to an islamic alcoholics anonymous meeting and asking for a rum & coke.

Sorry OP, good luck :p

Is the form the buyer filled in a paper one and handwritten?

If so, get the buyer to fill it out, post to you and deliver it yourself/send it recorded delivery.

Tweet about them, that usually gets someone on the case to sort it out. In fact, use facebook also and as many other social media sites as possible. Good luck.

ROFL @ your post :D

Best case scenario I've had from Parcelfarce was getting the shipping cost refunded. I sold something for £50, paid £13.50 to ship it on 48-hour service, with the standard "insurance" of £56. The buyer files an "item not as described" dispute, saying it was waterlogged. This was despite original undamaged packaging, foam padding and polystyrene bag that it came in. I issued a refund, made the claim providing the auction number so they know what the final bid was (£50) plus copies of emails etc. A few weeks later, I had a cheque off them for just the £13.50 postage amount.

Hmmm as your attorney...........complain to Parcel Force and whilst doing so point out that you have over 125,000 online forum buddies in the UK waiting for an update on how swiftly they resolve this admirably for you, their customer.

Say your attorney was on annual leave and you have an irrational fear of form filling. Formitis.
